Chip in your car window or windshield?
If you have a chip or bull’s eye crack in your car window, it’s wise to have it repaired. This prevents the chip from cracking further. Temperature differences, as well as driving over a speed bump, can enlarge a chip. For example, wen cold air conditioner blows on a windshield that has been in the blazing sun for hours. Conversely, defrosting a frozen windshield with warm water can cause it to crack. Scraping the windshield in winter can also make a chip larger. If there’s a crack, the window needs to be replaced.
High-quality resin
We use high-quality repair resins (glue) to fix chips. With over 30 years of experience, the chance of the chip cracking further is minimal. Since the chip is filled with resin, it will always remain slightly visible. Usually, this is minimal and won’t bother you. A chip repair is often done within an hour.
Given the quality that Topglas stands for, we offer unlimited warranty on the chips we repair. This means that if you later have the window replaced by Topglas, the cost of the repair will be deducted from the windshield replacement.
