At Topglas, we always first check if we can repair the glass damage. If it’s a small chip or crack, it’s often possible. In some cases, repair isn’t possible anymore and the windshield needs to be replaced.
Your windshield contributes about 30% to the strength of the car. The passenger airbag relies on the strength of the windshield when activated. If a chip is repaired, your windshield is just as strong as it was before the damage.
